"Seems like everybody is Tweeting!"
|
Everyday, more Twitter tools are coming out. Some of them are extremely useful and can help you streamline the process. A few of them are just cool. If you are one of the many that is trying to make Twitter fit into your business plan this is a great place to get started!
FriendFeed - Puts all of your RSS content onto one page, making it easy to see from
one glance (rather than going to different properties) and you can even
reply from friendfeed to different tools. It’s smarter to organize
around people, rather than tools.
TwitterFriends- Great stats and information about your account and others
BubbleTweet - It's back! This is a service that allows you to put bubble video on your Twitter page. Really cool way to introduce yourself to visitors to your page.
Twitter Grader - Twitter Grader bases your score on the number of followers you have,
the power of this network of followers, the pace of your updates, the
completeness of your profile and “a few other factors.”
Tweet3 - “Tweet3 is a web-based Twitter client that
allows you to manage one or more accounts. They do not require an e-mail
address to sign up, so don't worry about spam! Your data is encrypted
on their server for safety. These services are provided to you free of
charge.”
TweetDeck - A simple and refined layout that can present the whole Twitter process
a little easier. TweetDeck groups together everyone's updates and gives
you live updates. You can send direct messages, replies and updates
right there on the deck.
Mr Tweet - Mr. Tweet is your personal assistant when it comes to Twitter. You want
to follow him and every 2
weeks he will send you an update. Mr. Tweet will recommend to you
people you should follow so that you are only spending time with like
minded individuals who will follow you back!
twirl - A very popular client, using adobe air technology. Leave this on your
desktop, instead of going to browser, also these clients may be more
accurate in seeing who’s replying to you, unlike the browser version.
WordPress Blog Twitter Plug Ins - Plug your Twitter account into your Wordpress blog.
Autopostr - This service lets your friends in Twitter know when you post a new picture on Flickr.
GroupTweet - Allows you to post private message to a group of Twitter friends.

to each of the people you follow on a single page and display their
latest tweets.
My Tweeple - These tools are designed to help you make informed decisions when it comes to following people on Twitter. Monitor people you are following that are not following you back and vice versa.
FireFox Browser Plug ins
twitbin.com - Can be used to send and receive messages from Twitter, it’s a sidebar
and it looks quite nice
TwitterFox - Notifies you with updates from
your Twitter friends. Instead of being located in the sidebar, it’s
activated with a small icon in the right bottom corner of Firefox. Of
course, you can also send Tweets with it. Also, when your friends write
new tweets, a small balloon box appears in the right-bottom corner in a
browser window. If you click it, your friend’s Twitter page will open
in a new tab.
Ludicrous - For those who don’t like sidebar-based plugins, Ludicrous might be
the ideal solution. It allows you to post updates to Twitter directly
from your Firefox search bar. Once again, standard safety measures
apply: don’t forget to change your Firefox search bar to a search
engine, otherwise you might accidentally post your search query to
Twitter.
